Long Term Care...Pressure Ulcer Reports.
Often in Long Term Care homes the management of Pressure Ulcers is very important. These can
quickly develop into horrible wounds which are very difficult to heal. There are two components
of the WoundFolowUp system aimed at the management of Pressure Ulcers.
- The Pressure Ulcer Calculator aims at the financial cost of these wounds,
- The Pressure Ulcer Reports provide a graphical summary of the healing process.

Like much else in WoundFollowUp the Reports are aimed at helping the nurse reflect and consider how she can best help her patients. There are three popular codifications of Pressure Ulcers:
- the Braden Score: is a measure of the risk of forming a pressure ulcer.
- the PUSH : is a measure of the seriousness of a pressure ulcer, it is useful in measuring the improvement over time.
- the Stage: is a gross measure of damage that the pressure ulcer represents.

The data is entered into the system in the Patient Notes (click on the Patient Notes at the
bottom left of the main screen) . This is a normal medical record without the possibility to erase
or modify the notes. There are some buttons which allow you to enter the various scores.
The menu Item Reports shows the report. Again these data are only on your computer. They do not go to the Internet.
