There is no cost for the Wound Image Program, it is free, and the updates are free too. The business model relates to the use of the system, often a charge per picture downloaded. This implies that you can test out Wound Follow Up easily with just a few pictures and patients to see if it will fit into your practice.

Using a Memory Stick (memory Key...USB Key...USB flash drive...DoHickey) is really the simplest way to work. You don't need to be a computer whiz, Just push in The Memory Stick we send you and click on the window that comes up to tell you that a memory stick has been inserted.

Everything required is on the memory stick, Program and your data files.. It leaves nothing on the computer at all. This means that you can go to different computers and do your work. At home and at the clinic for example. It's just as fast and much more convenient!

The data is encrypted on the memory stick so nobody can read it unless they are signed in to the Wound Image Program. This in turn implies that you should make a backup of the whole thing onto your hard disk, so if you lose it or leave it in an unprotected computer you still have the pictures.

Viruses. Memory sticks can get infected with viruses and then transfer them to other computers. It's best to run a virus checker on all computers (we use AVG) this will warn you and remove the virus as soon as you insert the memory stick. You can easily pick up viruses from public computers or from copy shops.
