How to Copy from your Camera to the Computer

Once you have taken the pictures of the wound with your camera, you will need to transfer the pictures to your computer so that you can send them to WoundFollowUp.

There are several ways to do this:
• Using a memory card – this involves taking the memory card from the camera and plugging it into the computer
• Connecting the camera to the computer by a USB cable
• Using the software that came with the camera to move the photos onto your computer.

When you save the photos on your computer, you will need to:

• Make sure that they are saved as jpg files
• save them on your desktop or in a specific folder on your computer – so that you will remember where they are
• give each photo a date and name – so that you will know when it was taken and will be able to send the nurse the most recent one. Or use the by date order in the windows explorer (just click on the date modified column header).
• use the Views menu item in the files list to pick it out by eye.
